Nursery Web Spider
Nursery Web spiders are fairly large spiders. Their body is about the size of a penny, as shown by the first image. They are mostly brown in color, and their legs have occasional dark black hairs on them. Their eyes are laid out in two rows of four. The top row has a slight upward curve to it, like a smile.
The family of spiders for Nursery web, Pisauridae, has subsections. This one here is part of the Pisaurina genus, and the Pisaurina mira species. I have also seen a related nursery web spider, the Nursery Web Spider - Brevipes, here in Sutton Massachusetts. So both are in this town.
Like all spiders, the Nursery Web spider has eight legs.
