Transfer Station Requires Car Registration
The stickers to access the transfer station (i.e. the town dump with bins on top) have a new twist to them. You renew every July 1st – but now suddenly they’re requiring you to bring in your physical car registration to do it. You are doing the operation in the EXACT same office as where the excise is done – so they already have that database right there to know you’re a registered car owner. This isn’t so bad if you drove in said car to the town hall – but what if you’re registering two cars? Now each one has to drive in separately, during the few hours the hall is open? Or you have to track down a xerox machine?
