Lactarius Indigo
I *think* this is a Lactarius Indigo mushroom I have found. Many of them in photos online are more bright blue, but I have found some photos that look exactly like this one. Apparently they do get grey-blue at times. This was photographed in September so that could be part of the color. Still I am not positive on this identification. If someone is more sure about what this is, please let me know!
To me it looks like a burnt pancake, where the griddle was too hot and the butter was burnt :) Not of course that I know what those sorts of pancakes look like ...
These Lactarius Indigo were photographed at Purgatory Chasm.

This next one was from August 2012 in the Sutton State Forest. It looks the same to me, again the faded grey - blue color.

Please do not eat any of the items I mention on the site! I am not an expert. Always talk with an expert before eating any mushroom or plant.
