These photos were taken on March 13, 2013. It was 50F out! We still had snow on the ground, but the crocusses were valiantly coming up anyway.











This next one has crocus in with I think hyacinth is the larger stem. We'll see when it blooms :).



The daffodils are a bit slower - only one daffodil was bravely poking through so far.





This next image is of the start of my bleeding heart plant. It's amazing how quickly this grows each year!



The sage plant is a perennial in the sense that it just stays like this all winter. It doesn't die back and then regrow.
