Plant Photos from Sutton Massachusetts
I held off on adding plant photos to the site for a long time. It can be challenging to figure out what plants are natural to the environment and which plants were brought in by a previous Sutton resident and then ran wild. For example, you see orange day lilies all over Sutton, but they are native to Asia. So are morning glories.
However, when I tried to make this page just contain plants that were native to Sutton, people kept writing in and asking "why don't you have a page on forsythia" when really these were all imported from Asia. So then I decided that I should include all flowers commonly found around Sutton, with a note on whether they are native to our area or were brought in artificially. That way people can find what they're looking for!
