Kayaking Lake Quinsigamond Worcester MA
Lake Quinsigamond is a large lake located on the border between Worcester and Shrewsbury, in central Massachusetts. It's a long, narrow lake - a full four miles long. There's a large boat ramp with a ton of parking at the southern end. You then have to move through Flint Pond, which is fairly shallow, and under a short bridge to get to the main lake area. Crew teams use this lake fairly frequently. On September 25, 2013, Bob and I went from the Oak Island Boat Ramp, west through the extremely shallow cut-through, and up around into Lake Quinsigamond. We then looped all the way around Oak Island, clockwise, and came back around to the boat ramp again. Here are our photos of that kayaking trip!
