American Dagger Moth Caterpillar - Bugs and Beetles in Sutton Massachusetts
The American Dagger Moth Caterpillar is common in the US and has a distinctive shape. It is bright yellow and fuzzy, with a few long black hairs poking out of it. It likes to eat leaves of trees. When you poke at it it curls up into a little ball. I bet you know how I found that out :)
The adult moth form of the American Dagger Moth Caterpillar is a small little moth with grey-brown streaks all over it, that looks just like the bark of a grey-brown tree.
