Photos - Blackstone Valley Bike Path
For this photo set, done on March 18, 2008, we began at the Millbury Street parking lot on the Blackstone Valley Bike Path. We then went north to the end, which is where it hits Blackstone River Road. There is NO parking lot there. We then turned around and walked back to the Millbury Street parking lot. This route is .81 miles in each direction, so 1.62 round trip.
This set starts from the 146 overpass.

This seems to be a horse chestnut tree, on the river side of the path.

The trail is now heading up and towards 146 again.

There are distance markers along the path, every 100 feet or so.

Now the path is going on a narrow strip with the train tracks on the left and the 146 highway on the right.

Not only is the highway immediately on the right but the fence seems to indicate that sometimes cars come through here :)

Another distance marker. They are counting "number of 100s" so this goes 319, then 320 is 100 feet away.

You have a fence along the left for a while.

The road begins to curve left. It goes under Blackstone River Road here.

Now there's a small pond on the right, and the path curves all the way around it.

Going up around the curve.

Looking off to the right where hopefully the path will someday continue.

We're reaching the end here.

This is the actual end - no parking lot, you're simply at where Blackstone River Road and Route 146 intersect.
