Birch
Birch trees are thin, slender, with elegantly curving branches.

The leaves of a birch tree are almost oval in shape, with very small little teeth running along the edges. The very tip of a birch leaf narrows slightly especially on the grey birch. The leaves come along the branch at alternate locations. Note the double tooth edges.

When birch trees are young they look like spindly little shrubs.

Here's an image of a leaf budding in late April.
