On May 29, 2014 we finally got out to Stump Pond. This was only our second trip of the year - the first had been a week ago, at Manchaug. It'd been a long, cold spring. Manchaug had been high when we'd been there, so we immediately thought of getting out to Stump Pond soon. This pond is usually quite tricky to navigate with all the stumps in it. If the water was high, we might be able to explore far more than usual.
